Kim Granlund

I came to Suncorp from another Bank. I liked Suncorp because it was smaller but still big enough to offer opportunities. Twelve years later I am still here. My past banking experience was recognised straight away and I have had many opportunities to pursue my goals. I have worked in five Branches, including two new ones. Getting a new Branch up and running was very exciting and challenging.

Since I joined Suncorp I always wanted to be a Branch Manager. My Leaders have worked with me to look for opportunities to reach my goals and have really supported me. I always put my hand up for relieving positions and that was recognised when I was made Branch Manager of Wickham Terrace Branch, a goal I’d had for a long time.

I have made so many friends with both staff and customers. It is one of the things I really like about working for Suncorp. It is a great company to work for.

Everything I do is customer focused, my job satisfaction comes from that. What I have learnt along the way is that it is the little things that are important to a customer and I take pride in remembering things about them and their lives and businesses. This builds customer rapport which leads to repeat business. I think my life experience helps me adjust my style for different customers, and its very satisfying.

With the support I get from both my immediate Leaders and my peers I certainly look forward to the next chapter of my career at Suncorp.
