I came from a trade background which is a great background for this work, but here I like the professional workforce, I like the day to day challenges and helping people in a time of need. We can influence how people experience the whole thing and we can help to turn a bad situation into good.

We have staff who have been here 5 and 10 years. A number of people have just had promotions, from In House to On Road Assessor. So we have a new group of In House Assessors coming through now – we call them the “Baby Bronco's."

What I look for in staff is their attitude, they have to be great communicators and be able to empathise with the customer. It is good to have people with technical skills from trade backgrounds which really helps with the repairs assessing.

My staff are great, we all share the same values and goals, we are all willing to go the extra mile for customers.

For myself I liketo work for a leading national company and there are many careers paths available to pursue. I get clear directions from my Manager. I definitely want to stay with Suncorp, it is where I want to be.
