As a customer of Suncorp, I had been treated well and had received good service
and saw banking as a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. Knowing Suncorp
was a well established company with a future, I decided to seek employment.
I commenced with Southport Branch in May 2004 as a Sales and Service Assistant,
and was promoted to Sales and Service Consultant at that branch in September
2005. As I had purchased my first home with the assistance of Suncorp I moved
from the Gold Coast area to Sunnybank branch to be closer to my new home.
I am currently working towards my goal of being a Branch Manager and have recently
relieved in that role for my current manager during annual leave. Suncorp has
continued to provide ongoing training within my role and have recognised my
desire to achieve my goals. I am grateful for the opportunities given to me
and have been enthusiastic in accepting any challenges offered to me.
I see Suncorp as an employer that offers many career opportunities and a company
that is involved with the community in so many exciting ways. Suncorp’s
customer service vision and needs based approach to sales strongly appeals to
my own work ethic and values. I have an enjoyable and stimulating role within
Suncorp and will continue to work towards my goal of Branch Manager, and beyond.
The opportunities for reward and recognition are boundless but not the main
reason I will stay with Suncorp, it is the job satisfaction and working for
a team who values my contribution.
