| Import Letter of Credit |
The Import Letter of Credit is a bank guarantee issued by the buyer's bank to the seller's bank. It guarantees payment, provided the seller complies with the terms and conditions within the Letter of Credit. |
| Pre-Shipment Finance |
A funding facility that allows exporters or local suppliers to purchase and / or manufacture goods prior to dispatch to an overseas/domestic buyer. |
| Document Collection |
Allows the shipping documents to be presented to the buyer through the banking system against the buyers payment or their promise to pay at a future date before such shipping documents are released to them. |
| Import Refinance |
A funding facility that allows importers to finance the purchase of inventory or goods prior to their sale on the domestic market. |
| Post-Shipment Finance |
A funding facility that allows advances to be made against export documentation from the date of dispatch until the date payment is received from the overseas/domestic buyer. |
| Confirmation of Export Letters of Credit |
Suncorp can assist to mitigate against Bank and Country risk upon receipt of a Letter of Credit. |
| Negotiation of Export Letters of Credit |
If an exporter is not in a position to wait for payment due under a documentary credit, there is the possibility of finance being made available before the amount due under the documentary credit. |
